India.In this role, you need to follow payment regulations in India and develop and implement appropriate compliance measures. This role requires you to conduct in-depth legal research on a variety of complex regulations and advise legal and business teams on your findings and proposed actions. Once a decision has been made, you will help implement processes and policies to make the decision. This includes written legal advice and independent advice to sales teams.
Key tasks also include day-to-day advice in various areas of law, resolving issues arising from existing business relationships, as well as drafting and negotiating complex payment agreements and other commercial agreements. You must have solid experience working in a professional environment, a cooperative attitude and excellent organizational skills. The ability to communicate effectively is essential, both orally and in writing. The role requires you to be motivated to learn and understand how Amazon Pay works and to identify and analyze relevant laws and regulations. The role will be part of Amazon`s legal team and will include both independence and teamwork in a rapidly changing and ever-changing environment. You need great judgment in ambiguous situations, practical risk calibration, and a desire to learn and be curious. In this role, you will deal with a wide range of product compliance laws. You will work independently with various global, operational, sales and programming teams and serve as a legal point of contact for the development and launch of key compliance projects. You will also work closely with external legal teams and lawyers.
This function will report to the Legal Adviser and will be based in Bangalore. Some travel, including international travel, is necessary.
