The reason this report is called the “2020” report is that our 2020 Law School Ranking Report and 2020 Law School Profiles are of considerable interest to potential law school applicants who wish to enroll in courses starting in fall 2020. At the time of publication of this report in spring 2019, these employment statistics reflected the most recent data available. FIU Law is tied for #88 in terms of median LSAT score (156) among applicants who were admitted and enrolled as full-time students. LSAT measures reading comprehension, analytical reasoning and logical thinking. FIU Law ranks #41 in terms of the highest median GPA (3.63) among admitted applicants who enrolled as full-time students. In addition to a bar exam, every U.S. jurisdiction has character, suitability, and other qualifications for admission to the bar. Applicants are encouraged to determine the requirements for each jurisdiction in which they wish to apply for admission by contacting the jurisdiction. The addresses of all relevant bodies are available from the National Conference of Bar Examiners.
The acceptance rate is that of candidates admitted as full-time students for courses starting in the fall of 2018. The acceptance rate of candidates does not reflect actual enrolment rates, a subset. Bar throughput rates mirror those of new candidates for the Winter and Summer 2017 exams. The State has the highest number of law school graduates passed the bar examination for the period under review. Students enrolling in our LL.M. Programming and pursuing a JD degree at FIU Law can apply to the JD.
