The Allan “Bud” Selig Sports Law and Business program at ASU Law is a unique program that combines sports, law, and economics, and is taught by experienced instructors, including MLB Commissioner Emeritus Allan “Bud” Selig. In addition to a Master of Sports and Business Law (MSLB), students can choose to earn both a JD and an MSLB in seven semesters through the program. This simultaneous graduation option offers students the full range of the JD program, prepares them for the legal industry, and allows students to take advantage of the full range of business courses offered as part of the SLB program. This study option is offered to incoming law students admitted to ASU Law until the first semester of their 2L year and current ASU law students. The Law and Sustainability program at ASU Law provides world-class teaching and meaningful research experiences that equip students with the knowledge and skills to become influential leaders in the global sustainability movement.

The programme`s renowned faculties conduct research and teach in all major areas of sustainability policy, including climate change, water, energy and environmental protection. Students who are part of the program have access to a range of externals, research opportunities, advocacy experiences, and mentors available at a few other law schools around the world. ASU Law opened its Master`s programme in Tribal Politics, Law and Government in August 2005, in part due to the importance of our Indian Legal Programme (ILP) and the demand for expertise in the field. The LLM in Tribal Politics, Law and Government (administered by the ILP) is designed for lawyers and law school graduates who wish to work on tribal law and Indian federal law issues at a professional and academic level. The program provides students with a detailed understanding of the nature of tribal government, law, and policy development within the national federal structure.

LLM applicants will benefit from the vast resources allocated to ASU Law`s Indian legal program, including a full-time director and staff. an award-winning Indian legal clinic with its own director and full-time staff; and a tribal economic development programme, including a director and staff. Many law schools conduct interviews to help them make a firm decision about whether or not to accept a candidate. Some law schools interview all applicants for admission, while others like Harvard and Columbia offer them by invitation only. ASU Law School does not provide interviews for prospective students. U.S. News & World Report also evaluated all graduate schools. The law school opened in 1964 with the approval of the American Bar Association. It was previously located in Arizona State University`s Armstrong Hall and moved to ASU`s downtown Phoenix campus in 2012.
