As Judge Clark Brown, Gibson remained a constant presence at Boston Legal, even as the lead actors left their roles. He appeared in 24 episodes of the series and remained until the end of the series in 2008. Sadly, this was one of his last roles and he passed away in 2009, a week before his 74th birthday. Garrett Wells was introduced in the premiere of the second season as a cheeky young lawyer who is obviously attracted to Denise. He goes over her head with some clients, but helps her by blackmailing her ex-husband`s lawyer/pastor to get her to abstain from her requests for money. He is not as effective in the courtroom and has been humiliated more than once by sober judges. He is also intimidated by Catherine Piper, Alan Shore`s caterer and former assistant, who actually drives him out of his own office. We will not see him again after the end of season 2. It is not clear if he is still with the company or if he was fired by the partners without any explanation. During the second season, he begins a relationship with a paralegal and initially shames the company for his misaligned sexual encounters. Boston Legal`s cast is sometimes inspired and sometimes a moving target. People came and went, scenes were turned over, players turned into almost non-entities.

Recurring actors appeared without introductions, were then not mentioned for the episodes at the end. Big guest stars have been announced in press releases, while some lead actors have done crossword puzzles in their trailers. David E. Kelley begins the third season with Craig Bierko as Jeffrey Coho, a New York partner with an intimate story with Shirley. Constance Zimmer (Claire Simms) and Gary Anthony Williams (Clarence/Clarice Bell) were also added to the main title. The second season began with three new lead actors – Julie Bowen, Justin Mentell and Ryan Michelle Bathe – after releasing three – Rhona Mitra, Monica Potter and Lake Bell – from the first season [although two were in the first episodes of the second season, although they were filmed during the first season]. The only constant is that casting directors were busy earning their salaries. After the line-up changes, the opening sequence of the 2006-2007 season was also revised. Below are the credits released on September 26, 2006 for the third season. The opening credits of the first season first started with caricaturist images of the cast, as depicted in the images of Rhona, Monica and Lake below, and then turned into more realistic images in the middle of the season On our photo gallery page in the near future, you will find all four versions of the credit sequence. >> more in our forum >> enlarge First of all are images of the main titles. Among them are the official images of the ABC cast.

Boston Legal is a spin-off of David E`s series. Kelley The Practice (1997), which follows the exploits of former practice character Alan Shore (James Spader) at the law firm Crane. Poole and Schmidt. Paul Lewiston is managing partner in the Boston office and counsel to Crane, Poole & Schmidt.

Paul is experienced in client relations and an expert in Far Eastern markets and the legal issues of companies operating in this part of the world. Unlike Denny and Alan, Paul usually does things strictly “according to the book.” He had several antagonistic arguments with Denny and Alan over their apparent lack of respect for the law. Her middle-aged daughter, Rachel, is introduced as a methamphetamine addict in Season 2, and Paul has her kidnapped and taken to a rehab center. He takes custody of his daughter (granddaughter) Fiona. After that, as he is related to his grandson with his father figure, he is rarely seen in the Boston office. It was Lewiston who negotiated the acquisition of Crane, Poole & Schmidt by a Chinese law firm in the series finale, although he later began to regret the action. Tara Wilson first acted as a paralegal at Young, Frutt & Berlutti. Tara was fired from the company after informing Alan of her impending dismissal and is hired to work at Crane, Poole & Schmidt, the company that represents Alan`s civil case.

She then became a lawyer. Tara and Alan eventually began sex after his breakup with Sally Heep, although their relationship had a rough time when he hired a group of men to attack a man he had already fought with. When Tara reconnects with one of her ex-boyfriends, the two separate and she quickly resigns from Crane, Poole & Schmidt. Their departure leads Alan to question his emotional fitness for a relationship. Ahh, Boston Legal. One of the best legal dramedies of television of all time, the show lasted 5 criminally short seasons when it reigned among premium prime-time offers until its unfortunate hiring in 2008. As a senior partner at Crane, Poole & Schmidt, Carl left the New York office to help Shirley manage the Boston office after Paul Lewiston left a leadership role to focus on raising his granddaughter. At first, he couldn`t accept the reckless behavior of the Boston office and thought of returning to New York.

However, he found his feet in the Boston office and became a mentor to the staff, especially Katie Lloyd, Clarence Bell and Jerry Espenson. It is also part of the sometimes surreal legal activities of the Litigation Division, including bringing a lawsuit against television channels in which the plaintiffs demanded that they broadcast programs for people with functional brains. Carl is an old Shirley flame and proposes to her in “Thanksgiving.” Shirley and Carl are married in a civil ceremony by Antonin Scalia, a Supreme Court justice, in Nimmo Bay in the series finale. Like many of David E. Kelley`s productions, the cast was starred and the writing was second to none. While there have been a rolodex of rotating main characters in the show`s history, there have also been many who have stayed with the show for several seasons.
